I have planning approval!
The shed is one step closer.
This means I can build the size and location I want - now I just need to get the plans through for building approval, get a building surveyor onboard, buy the actual shed, organize the concrete, level the area, you know - all the small stuff...

The Brothers Brick is the most prestigious Lego blog on the planet - and most Lego fans dream of one day getting their lego on that site.
Well - I did. Not exactly intentionally - but it's there! The awesome Bumblebee is not mine - but the baseplate he is standing on is! And that's one of my Swarm Fighters in the background.
It might only be a cameo in the background - but my Lego is on TBB!

Ok - so these are by far the least exciting photos I am posting from Brickvention - but they are my spaceships!
Once again my Velysian Swarm Fighters were on display.
The truly awesome thing is that when I was setting up, Ryan Mcnaught (see post below about the Rocket) came over to have a look, and was actually quite impressed by my sliding cockpit design and borrowed one of the ships to show someone else.
It’s a great feeling when one of the super-stars of the Australian Lego scene actually takes an interest and gets a kick out of one of your creations!
Long live the Swarm Fighters!

The single biggest model at Brickvention this year was Ryan Mcnaught’s model of a Saturn V rocket. (Sorry Ryan, I stole that photo from your website).
It’s 5.7m tall - the tallest Lego model in Australia and took 120,000 bricks to build and over 250 hours.
And here it is at the hall. Ryan is a Lego Certified Professional - the only one in the Southern Hemisphere - and one of only thirteen in the world!
Yes - that ugly mug is me - figured I should be in at least one photo.
Ryan’s rocker was too big to fit in a single photo unless you were ages back.
After the convention he had to use a scissor lift to take it apart.
The red sections were glued and the rocket had a steel rod inside it - simply to prevent the possibility of it falling over and killing someone.
