I have one hundred trillion dollars! Pity it’s only Zimbabwean dollars from their period of hyper-inflation. It cost me $5 on ebay, which is far more than the note was actually worth in Zimbabwe when it was in circulation. People used Zimbabwean money as toilet paper - it was so worthless! Should serve as a warning for governments (looking at you, America) that printing lots of money doesn’t do much apart from sending inflation into overdrive. You can’t print your way out of recession.

After living very cheaply the last few weeks - I’m spoiling myself this week buying some luxuries - like food etc. I spent one fortnight in ‘savings mode’ where I didn’t spend anything I could avoid and banked the remainder, and one fortnight that was even tighter because I was paying my power bill (ouch!).

This fortnight is a bit looser and I’ve treated myself by placing an order with Café Press for some cool nerdy stuff. If only there weren’t so much awesome junk in the world - I’d have a lot more money :)

Chris is going to be flat out saving his coins too - as his car didn’t make it through the weekend and he’s on the lookout  for a replacement engine. He’s had to borrow Oscar to get to and from work - which is ok as he’s done some work on it and fixed the leaking power steering. If he can work out why it’s shuddering occasionally that’d be a bonus too! I just have to keep him away from any bodies of water he might want to drive into.

Ah well, I can’t complain - at least I have a Hundred Trillian Dollars to my name - even if it’s not worth anything.

The replacement engine probably won't be fun to buy... and I'm pretty sure I've seen a 500 trillion dollar note somewhere - on the internet though, so it's not necessarily legit.
